Welcome to the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare! Hermione founded this society in order to give house-elves rights. Inspired by Dobby's love of clothes, and poor Winky's deterioration after she received hers, Hermione began to knit her own clothes in the hopes of encouraging other elves to think of freedom as a good thing. But Hermione can't do it all alone. She wants to recruit you for help!
How it Works:
Below you will see a house-elf. One who wants to work for you! One you can dress up in any number of uniforms: a pillowcase, a towel, a raggedy loincloth...
Around the site you will see house-elf clothes which you can either win or buy, and use to dress up your elf. (You may need a program like Paint in order to add clothes to your elf).
When your house-elf has a full outfit (at least one article of clothing on either hand, foot, head, and torso) your house-elf will be freed! Freed elves can earn you 2 choice cards, 1 random one, a S.P.E.W. badge and 10 house points.
You may also find celebrity elves around the site, like Dobby or Winky! If you dress one of them you'll win a bonus choice card, another 2 random cards, and 20 additional house points.
You may keep freed house-elves on your tradepost, they may decide they still want to work for you. But freeing elves is a slow process, they don't all want to be freed. Ergo, there's a limit: You may only free 5 elves per month.
